Sound

Review

Sound
The sound quality is excellent. The pure-fi anywhere 2 is higher quality system and the sound lives up to its price. We listened to several types of music and they Anywhere 2 did a good job with all music genres.

The speakers are sound perfect in a office and small to medium sized room in your house. They would also work well for one or two people listening outside. The speakers are not loud enough to supply sound for a large room or at a big party. It would be nice to see a display showing the current volume level, this feature is not absolutely needed just more in the nice to have category.

Features
The built in rechargeable battery is a very nice feature. No more buying batteries. When the unit is plugged into the wall both the iPhone/iPod and speaker system charge. When the unit is unplugged the internal battery supplies the power. A battery charge indicator is on top of the unit to let you know how strong the battery charge is.

Setup and Design
The unit has a clean sleek look to it. There are two fold out feet that create a very stable base to keep the speaker s upright. A soft protective case is provided to keep the unit safer. The case with the anywhere 1 was more of a hardcase that would not fold up. The case with the anywhere 2 will fold up easily to go in a back pack or any where you want to keep it. The case even has a spot for the remote control.

iPhone/iPod Dock
The anywhere 2 has a universal dock with 12 adapters to fit almost any iphone/ipod you have. Determine which adapter you need(very easy to figure out) and insert the adapter into the speakers then set your iphone/ipod in the adapter and enjoy. It is that simple.

Remote
Unlike many other speaker systems in this class price range the Pure-Fi Anywhere 2 remote control gives you full access to your iPhone/ipod music. Srcoll through the menus, play/pause, it is all there. The buttons on the remote actually move so it is easy to tell if you hit the button or not. The remote size is small so it could get lost in a couch but a perfect size to sit on a desk or night stand.

Conclusion
The Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere 2 is a high quality system with excellent sound to match. It is a perfect unit for around the house or on your desk. The size and rechargable battery make the unit very portable and easy to use. The Anywhere 2 should be on the list for any one looking for a small portable iPhone speaker system.

Review

This is probably the best value for iPhone sound dock. I am certainly very pleased with this little logitech pure fi anywhere 2 and I HIGHLY recommend it. I was looking to buy the Bose SoundDock and I did extensive research and in many places this is said to be the next best speakers after the SoundDock. Now, lets see, Bose SoundDock is $400+ and I bought this on eBay for $55. Is it comparable to Bose? Umm, I don't think so. I took it to my friend's house who has a Bose SoundDock and there really is no comparison. Bose is Bose, Bose is better, MUCH BETTER, might be the best. If you close your eyes and imagine yourself at the concert, the sound from the Bose SoundDock will take you there. But for $400 less, this might actually be the next best system after Bose. I am also a huge fan of JBLs and I also do like JBLs better than this because JBLs have crisper highs but definitely lacks bass and are also at least $100 more and without the portability. This thing weighs almost nothing and is super portable, I can very easily pick it up with 2 finger, only because I have to grab it, if not you could pick this up with your nails. I tried to drain the battery and after 6 hours I fell asleep so yeah, it might actually last 10 hours. the battery indicator has 3 lights, after 6 hours it was on the last light.

So in conclusion, this thing looks great, works great, its super portable, charges your iPhone, remote works awesome, and it ONLY cost me 55 bucks. If you want Bose quality, get a Bose, but for the money, this is the deal.

Pros and Cons

Pros: small, compact, portable
big sound, wide range from classical to jazz to spoken word

Review

These speakers are loud enough to play at parties and for events with many (e.g. 100) people. At the same time they provide quality sound picking up the soft violins and deep base notes. I have no need for any other speakers in my home.
